Thai Country Club in Chacheongsao, Thailand, just outside Bangkok renovated their irrigation system by upgrading to a Rain Bird Par+ES Satellite system with a Rain Bird Stratus II Central Control. The course upgraded their irrigation control system in order to improve the system efficiency as well as course playability.

An irrigation system analysis was completed showing the course was suffering from wet fairways, approaches and surrounds. Some of these problems were attributed to poor drainage, but many were actually irrigation related. Based on the analysis the club began training their staff on water management techniques and renovating the irrigation control system.

Jim Schumacher, of Aqua Turf International (ATI), was contracted to support the renovation efforts and help to train the staff on the features of their Rain Bird system.

As a part of the upgrade MI Series Mobile Controllers are now being used by course staff, providing them with remote access and control of their Central. Rain Cans were also installed on the course. With patented Rain Watch™ technology water efficiency is maximized through intelligent, real-time decision-making based on accurate rainfall measurement that adjusts run times based on rain events.
