U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles – Women Volunteers Breaking the Grass Ceiling

After the tremendous success at The Olympic Club last year, Rain Bird partnered with Syngenta for a 2nd year to get more women volunteers at the USWO. Ultimately, 27 women volunteered on the grounds crew at Pine Needles. Working with David Fruchte, Director of Golf Course Grounds, Rain Bird arranged the flights for the women volunteers traveling as far away as Washington and Oregon.

Central Europe Distributors Meet in Stuttgart, Germany

This autumn Rain Bird distributors from Central Europe gathered together in Stuttgart in Germany for the first time. Those making their way to this prosperous city, where many companies including Daimler, Porche, and Bosch are headquartered, included Roal GmbH from Switzerland, Stock GmbH from Austria, Smits from the Netherlands, and Pipelife. The aim of this event was for Rain Bird distributors to hear directly from Golf Service Plan (GSP) engineers about a range of different topics, as well as having the opportunity to meet colleagues and exchange ideas.
