A completely redesigned Rain Bird booth welcomed golf industry professionals from across the globe at the 2019 Golf Industry Show in San Diego February 6th – 7th. The premier learning and networking event serving the business of golf course and club facilities, the GCSAA Golf Industry Show attracts more key decision-makers from every aspect of the industry under one roof than any other event.

Rain Bird GIS 2019This year, the Rain Bird booth featured the newly released IC CONNECT™, 551 Series Rotors, and Sod Cup Kit. IC CONNECT allows golf course superintendents to expand the control of their golf course irrigation system by allowing integration, automation and interaction with sensors and field equipment. Rain Bird 551 Series rotors are built on the same platform as the popular 751 series rotors, offering unmatched flexibility and quality for irrigating smaller areas on a golf course. And the Sod Cup Kit is the easiest to install solution for golf courses looking to reduce rotor visibility for a seamless turf presentation while also improving playability.

Rain Bird speaker series at GIS 2019.

The first ever Rain Bird Speaker Series was a huge success and brought crowds to the Rain Bird booth as superintendents from 5 top courses shared insights on how they keep their courses in elite conditions and up to date with the latest technologies. With expertise from the likes of Paul B Latshaw from Merion Golf Club speaking on renovating a Top 10 Course to Jonathan S Jennings from Shinnecock Hills Golf Club talking about how he prepares for the US Open, there was an abundance of knowledge shared.

To end the show, Mel Waldron III from Horton Smith Golf Course in Springfield, MO was announced as the grand prize winner of the @RainBirdGolf #MakeItRainBird giveaway of an expenses paid trip for two to the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach. Thanks to everyone who entered and congrats to the weekly and daily winners. If you did not win one of the many prizes, be sure to follow us on Twitter as we will be doing more fun things throughout the year.

Thank you to the GCSAA for another successful Golf Industry Show. See you in 2020!
